***** THANK YOU FOR WATCHING *****
Agree. Surface life has a bunch of stuff that momentarily disappears into the blue. I find diving meditative.
Hit send to soon
Most of the commercial gas field in lake Erie is 70 ft or less
We test our new equipment in the Sarina river on a trip to the tug monarch nominal 55 ft 9 kts current sometimes the vis is good other times a foot I have been to the monarch over 50 times
One time was memorable I will share it with you since you shared your video
We get to the river the vis is 1 ft the guys are heading to the monarch I figured I will navigate to the channel marker in the middle of the river I take a bearing from shore and our thousand foor reel 750 lb strength the idea is no drift on the bottom 200ft out you get past the debrisans into undulating sand doons
800 ft out I come across a excavator tire buried flush with the bottom 900 ft I figured I must be getting close when I hear WOOP WOOP WOOOP
holy crap! Steam boat !
So I go hand over hand fast as I can to the excavator tire dump my air and hang on (duals clipped the reel on to act as a anchor)
All the fish in the river are right beside me
WOOP WOOP WOOP getting louder and louder a shadow pssses over head and the suction builds up all of a sudden the school of gobies in front of face are gone !
I feel myself being lifted off the bottom then I got hit by the.wash nocked flat flooded face mast then things went back to normal I could hear it blow the while going round the bend
Then it was. ,,HOLY CRAP !
I didn’t have time to reel the line in it was going up in a arc must of slid by the keel
If the prop got had of got it that would be it
So I blew myself up 10 ft off the bottom the current swung me into the bank
Over 50 dives there the one I remember
Have a great day!
Hi Marc excellent video and sharing your experiences with us
I will share one if mine with you
I don’t usually exceed the recreational limits most of the commercial gas fields
